Marathi Stars Priya Bapat and Umesh Kamat want to work together in a film. But, aren’t getting interesting offers at the moment. Two teamed up for superhit film ‘Time Please’ in 2013. It will be much delight to see star couple back on the big screen.
Priya Bapat’s last film release was 2 years ago in ‘Aamhi Doghi’. But, Priya Bapat is very chill regarding this. According to Times of India, Priya Bapat said “I am willing to wait for a good role rather than rushing into something just for the sake of visibility, And it’s not like I am doing nothing. My first theatre production (Dada Ek Good News Aahe) is being staged regularly. Plus, I did a couple of web series. So, I am busy, just not with films.”
On film with Umesh Kamat, Priya added “We are actually going through a lot of scripts because honestly, we too want to collaborate again for a film. But somehow, the stories coming to us aren’t appealing enough. We would love to be a part of a play as fellow actors too. But as of now, there’s nothing happening on that front”. Nowadays, many Marathi actress is doing roles in Hindi films but Priya Bapat is clear regarding her stand on the same. She says, “It’s not that I won’t do Hindi films, but I will do them only if the role is interesting. In fact, I am also looking at doing films in other regional languages but that will take time”.
