The 50th IFFI (International Film Festival of India) is scheduled to be held in Goa from 20 to 28 November. IFFI is the most significant film festival in Asia. And, we are proud to say this year 5 Marathi films are selected (largest in number of regional languages). IFFI selected Marathi movies are Tujhya Aaila, Anandi Gopal, Bhonga, Mai Ghat: Crime No 103/2005 and Photo-Prem. It’s worth noting that number of marathi movies is second behind bollywood this film festival. All language statistics (feature films) are as follows:
1. Hindi (6 Films)
2. Marathi (5 Films)
3. Bengali (3 Films)
4. Malayalam (3 Films)
5. Tamil (2 Films)
6. Paniya, Kannada, Irula, Khasi/Garo language (1 Film each)
